Join Our Team as a Mail Operative in Reading, this is a temporary role.
Pay: £13.00 per hour

Monday to Friday - 09:00am - 17:00pm

About the Role:
As a Mail Operative, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that our mail operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a temporary full-time position, perfect for those eager to dive into the logistics industry and gain valuable experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
Collecting / Receiving, sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, including redirection of all unnamed/unknown mail.
Use of franking machines / online postage platforms to despatch mail.
Dealing with client enquiries via email, face to face and on the telephone / TEAMS (inc. courier quotes, advice on shipping and despatching goods domestically and oversees)
Check and maintain all stationary cupboards.
Paper replenishment MFD basic jam/fault reporting
Accepting courier deliveries and recording them
Delivering courier items and closing off iTrak entries (inc. client tracking queries and package delivery/collection requests via email)
Booking and receipt of outgoing courier items in uBook, including customs and shipping paperwork for non-doc overseas packages
Porterage and general movement of small furniture, equipment and bulk goods
Packaging services (specific to hazardous / dangers goods guidelines)
Strapping and wrapping of off-site storage pallets for dispatch
Wrap pallets of waste ready for collection.
Daily check of chemical waste Drums at labs - change drums when full
Issue lab stock items to the client
Empty lab wheelie bins.
Collect and dispose of analytical samples
Gas Cylinder Deliveries.

Previous experience is advantageuous
