Cleveland House is looking to recruit a speech and language therapist to join the team. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours (hours are negotiable)
Cleveland House is located in Banks, Southport, in the west of Lancashire. It offers residential support for 32 males and females with an acquired brain injury (ABI), progressive neurological condition (PNC) and associated physical health needs. We are located on a residential housing estate.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
You will also:
* Manage and coordinate the implementation of individual treatment plans for speech and language therapy services, ensuring treatments, activities, and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication.
* Receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertaking assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions on an individual or group basis. Maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient’s rehabilitation/progress.
* Ensure the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.
* Maintain and develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multidisciplinary team, ensuring clinical practice aligns with Priory policies and procedures.

What you'll bring to the role

The role requires a relevant degree and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), along with a postgraduate qualification awarded by the RCSLT. The successful candidate should also have relevant experience, including some within the specialised area.
