We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Data Manager within the Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility to provide high quality data management support within the new Lothian Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC), which opened in 2025. The CRDC is one of 4 centres in NHS Scotland funded through the 2024 Investment Programme (VPAG) agreed by the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and the ABPI to support patient access to medicines, the financial sustainability of the NHS and UK life sciences sector (2024 voluntary scheme for branded medicines pricing, access and growth - ).
The post holder will provide a full range of research support to medical, clinical, nursing, and support services staff working on commercial research in NHS Lothian. They will work closely with other key members of the CRDC team, including the Commercial Research Nurse Manager and Commercial Research Lead Consultant to manage and expand the portfolio of commercial clinical research.
Key requirements for this role include: educated to degree level in clinical or life sciences subject area or equivalent experience; experience of working in a research environment involving data management of clinical research; advanced IT skills; and an ability to learn and interpret complex information and instructions accurately.
(Fixed term 3 years, in the first instance. Full time 37 hours per week moving to 36 hours per week from 1st April 2026. Secondments will be considered)
