The job itself
A 50-year-old lady with MS requires a personal assistant for 24 hours a week. Tasks to include general domestic tasks, light gardening, preparation of evening meals, shopping for groceries and making drinks and snacks. Assistance is required with dressing and support with circulation boosting exercise/physio exercises. Support may also be required with going out for a coffee and accessing the community. Also, with social activities of the lady’s choice and shopping. Support with housework to be discussed further at interview.
There may be a requirement to drive lady’s vehicle at times so full clean driving licence is required.
Non-smoker, non-vaper required due to asthma and allergy reasons.
A genuine occupational requirement for a female worker exists for this post under the Equality Act 2010 due to privacy and decency.
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post – Cost to be met by the local authority.
Days and Times are:
Monday - 12:30pm – 5:30pm
Tuesday - 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 12:30pm – 5:30pm
