Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Sheffield. In this role, you will assist with cost control, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), managing project budgets, and providing accurate cost reporting on rail and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with senior team members to gather and analyse data, monitor expenditures, and support the preparation of financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in cost control and cost management across rail and infrastructure projects.
* Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and other project documentation.
* Support cost planning and cost reporting activities.
* Monitor project expenditures and maintain accurate financial records.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure projects remain within budget.
* Provide data analysis and support for estimating project costs.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Knowledge of cost control, cost planning, and cost reporting.
* Proficiency in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
* Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
* Familiarity with industry-relevant software and tools (Excel & Power Bi).
* Experience in the construction or rail industry is advantageous but not essential.
