As our Inclusion Partner, you'll be responsible for embedding our inclusion strategy across Seasalt and developing and maintaining an inclusive workplace culture. You'll take ownership of our volunteering agenda, creating strong community partnerships and delivering a structured volunteering programme that ensures Seasalt reaches its volunteering hours target.

Please note this is a full-time, temporary contract to cover family leave (approximately 12 months). As part of our Seasalt Connected approach to ways of working, this role will be based flexibly across our Cornwall head office locations (minimum 40% of working week) and remotely within the UK.

You'll help us by:

* Collaborating with senior leaders to develop and implement Seasalt's inclusion and diversity strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, managers, and employees, providing guidance and consultation on inclusion-related matters. This may include: aligning business/people strategy with the Inclusion Strategy, how we engage with customers and suppliers and our how we define and promote our brand.
* Reviewing and advising on policies, guidelines and programmes to ensure the promotion of an inclusive and supportive workplace.
* Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data related to diversity and inclusion metrics, developing reports and recommendations to drive informed decision-making and measure the effectiveness of inclusion initiatives.
* Chairing Inclusion Committee meetings by leading the agenda, driving discussion, and co-ordinating progress on strategy deliverables.
* Engaging with external resources, organisations and partners to share emerging external/market trends.
* Curating and planning inclusion content and campaigns, coordinating activities for awareness days and events, and drafting quarterly business-wide updates to maximise engagement both internally and externally.
* Leading and managing the Inclusion Network by fostering and maintaining connections that amplify under-represented voices, developing members as champions and feedback channels for the business.
* Running Seasalt's volunteering programme, ensuring it is structured, engaging, impactful and aligned with business goals and strategy.
* Effectively communicating volunteering opportunities, successes, and upcoming events through internal and external communication channels to promote the value of volunteering and employee participation in volunteering activities.
* Developing metrics and reporting mechanisms to measure the impact of volunteering initiatives on both the community and employee engagement.
* Planning, co-ordinating and administering volunteering events, taking logistics, resource requirements and safety protocols into consideration.
* Staying informed about relevant UK laws and regulations pertaining to volunteering activities, ensuring our programmes adhere to legal requirements, and that risk assessments are conducted for volunteering events to ensure the safety and well-being of participating employees.

The skills you'll be sharing with the team:

* Proven experience in an inclusion or diversity related role.
* Strong knowledge of best practices and legal requirements regarding inclusion, diversity and equality.
* Experience in developing, implementing and managing DEI programmes and initiatives.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and persuade employees at all levels.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in collecting, reporting, analysing and presenting data.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and effectively, adapting communications to different audiences.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* Strong organisation and project management skills.
* Experience in liaising with community organisations is valuable.
* A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the community through various volunteering, community and inclusion initiatives.
* Ability to influence others and gain credibility both internally and externally
* Empathetic listener and collaborative team-player
* DEI qualification desirable or qualified by experience.
