About the Facility
The Walter B. Jones Center operates two adult inpatient treatment programs: Woodside Treatment Center and Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. The Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and SAMHSA/CSAT and offers specialized programs for inpatient opioid treatment and perinatal services.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization, and medical detoxification for individuals with substance use and co‑occurring psychiatric diagnoses.
* Develop nursing care plans based on diagnosis, identified patient problems, and independently implement the nursing process.
* Monitor patient physical status, vital signs, and nurse triage assessments; administer medications and collaborate with the Treatment Team to address patient needs.
* Respond to emergency situations and provide timely documentation of patient care.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse license in the State of North Carolina.
* Minimum of 2 years of inpatient nursing experience in a substance use or psychiatric setting.
* Knowledge of medications and the physiological effects of pharmacologic agents.
* Ability to independently plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to respond promptly to emergency situations.
Compensation and Benefits
* Recruitment Range: $58,898.00 – $88,348.00.
* Sign‑on bonus of up to $10,000 (subject to 2025‑2026 budget approval).
* Full‑time position with mandatory overtime and weather‑related overtime reporting.
