Overview
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our SEN team in Wigan. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Learning Support Assistant to make a real difference in supporting children with special educational needs.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with class teachers as a Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support
* Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions
* Assist pupils with SEN in both academic and personal development
* Support classroom organisation, learning activities, and behaviour management
* Build trusting relationships with pupils and act as a reliable Learning Support Assistant
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, ideally in an SEN setting
* Knowledge of strategies to support children with additional needs
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Learning Support Assistant - desirable but not essential
