The Role
We're looking for a confident cook who's also happy to jump out front when needed. This is a 75% kitchen / 25% front of house hybrid role - perfect for someone who likes variety and doesn't want to be stuck doing the same thing all day.
What You'll Be Doing:
In the Kitchen (75% of your time): - Preparing and cooking dishes to our high standards using our established recipes - Standard food prep - chopping, prepping, organizing your station - Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization - Following all health and hygiene regulations (you'll need to be confident with food safety standards) - Helping with the new menu we've just launched - traditional favorites plus exciting new additions like loaded fries, dirty burgers, and sharing plates
Front of House (25% of your time): - Running food out to customers when the kitchen's busy - Providing friendly, welcoming service that matches our reputation - Taking orders and serving food and beverages - Handling customer questions with a smile - Assisting with opening and closing duties
Essential: - Previous kitchen or food service experience - Confident cooking ability - you know your way around a kitchen - Solid understanding of food prep, food safety, and health & hygiene regulations - Ability to work under pressure during busy service - Happy to switch between kitchen and front of house as needed - Strong communication skills - you'll be talking to customers and the team - A positive, can-do attitude - Good sense of humor and outgoing personality - we're a friendly bunch and you need to fit in - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ideal: - Experience in a pub or restaurant kitchen - Knowledge of traditional British cuisine - Comfortable working with locally sourced, fresh ingredients
