We are reaching out to find a talented Senior Menswear Jersey Designer whom has a passion for mens jersey and can deliver high quality designs with the ambition to help grow our business with relevant customers. You must be able to work both independently and collaboratively. This is a fast paced role, working seasonally to design presentations, researching trends and creating clothing ranges - it's real opportunity for someone to grow within the role and progress as we expand the design team.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Creation of seasonal, trend led ranges in line with brief, budget, ensuring that all timelines are strictly adhered to.
* Taking ideas from concept, creating initial specifications through to production of initial samples.
* Working on new jersey fabric sourcing and developments, with a strong focus on key fabrics for the season to develop into.
* Sourcing and developing new fabric and trim for relevant accounts.
* Sound knowledge of garment construction and able to produce professional design packs.
* Working and implementing cost effective design within reason depending on the customer.
* Pro-active, strong communication skills and the ability to build valued relationships with customers.
* Own management of organising the design room, preparing for meetings and design presentations.
* Responsible for arranging and attending meetings with customers in aiding the growth of the business.
Qualifications
* Minimum 4 years design experience.
* Bachelor level degree (or equivalent) in Fashion Design.
* Expected to have work experience for either supplier or retailer in mens jersey.
* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a must.
Hybrid/ WFH
* First 3 months in role = full-time office based (training provided and to understand Klash/build repour with colleagues).
* 3 months + in role = 4 days office/1 day WFH (same day each week fixed, with exception on meeting dates/prep).
