Job Summary
We have an opportunity for a salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive and well organised team for a12 month fixed period/maternity cover. We are looking to cover 6 sessions over 3 days(must include a Friday). September 2025 start.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Responsibilities:
In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, including:
* Routine and duty doctor sessions, involving both face-to-face consultations and telephone consultations and queries
* Visiting patients at home
* Checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with lab results, queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion

* Daily coffee time meeting for all GPs which is central to our team philosophy, good humour and sanity
* 15 minute routine appointments over a 4 (mini) session system with protected admin time
* Allour appointments are triaged prior to booking by a team of trained Healthcare Navigators, supported daily with a clinician sat in with Navigators
* Our onthe day duty team consistsof ANP's, Paramedics, GPs
* Weofferpatients appointments via face to face, telephone, video consult, and online
* The clinical team consists of 4 partners and 6 salaried GP's supported by a skilled team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, Specialist Chronic Disease Prescribing Nurses andClinical Pharmacists
* We have highly trained administrative document handlers who manage 90% of incoming documents without clinician input
* We have a Good CQC rating (last inspected November 2023) and we were commended for our team ethos and team atmosphere
* We are a high QOF achieving practice
* We are a training practice, with up to three GP Registrars (plus FY Doctors), Three Counties Medical Students, and Student Nurses
* We work collaborative with neighbouring practices within our Primary Care Network for Extended Access hours
* We are a single site surgery with 13,050patients
* EMIS Web with electronic links to hospitals and pharmacies and online booking
