Careers Coach (London-based) (110822-0925)

Base pay range

This role supports the career development of PTMBA students, including Executive MBAs, Global online MBAs, Accelerator MBAs and DBAs. It delivers career provision in a variety of formats, including 1:1 guidance and coaching, group activities and e-learning as appropriate. The successful candidate will be based at Warwick Business School’s London base at The Shard.


Duties and responsibilities

* Careers guidance appointments & focused applications support
* Assisting MBA students to identify career management and professional development goals, draw up individual action plans and identify appropriate online resources
* Act as the first point of contact for student queries and provide e-guidance as appropriate
* Undertaking mock interviews
* Facilitating assessment centre-type activities
* Delivery of skill, leadership development, and career management workshops
* Record all careers and professional development interventions for students and alumni on the university careers portal and monitor feedback from service users, collating appropriate destinations and other careers metrics data as required
* Maintain and develop expertise in MBA career paths and global employability trends to enable students and alumni to make effective transitions
* Contribute to the WBS marketing and recruitment process on behalf of WBS CareersPlus, by offering expertise from a careers perspective, interviewing prospective students and participating in selection days and recruitment events
* Support the Careers Managers by working with the Employer Relations team to develop long-term relationships with organisations for career opportunities and tailored support for students in CVs, applications and interview preparation
* Support production of MBA Talent profiles to promote the talent pool to global recruiters
* Other duties as defined by the WBS CareersPlus Director and MBA Careers Manager


About You

The successful candidate is a credible and adaptable professional with a strong academic foundation and extensive experience in career development, coaching, and talent management. They should have deep knowledge of MBA and executive career paths and a proven ability to support ambitious, high-potential individuals through tailored coaching and development interventions.

They should be an excellent communicator, able to build trust and influence with senior stakeholders, students, and global corporate partners. They should thrive under pressure, balance multiple priorities, and demonstrate strong organisational and project management skills.

Ideally, they will hold a postgraduate qualification in business, coaching, or HR and have expertise in psychometrics to enhance coaching practice.
