Job Overview
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team at Sizewell B on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the coordination and execution of a variety of technical projects—ranging across mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
Employment type: Full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term contract (with strong potential for extension). Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead and deliver multidisciplinary projects from inception to completion.
* Coordinate works across site, ensuring schedules and standards are met.
* Validate subcontractor documentation prior to granting site access.
* Supervise daily site activities, promoting a safety‑first culture.
* Conduct pre‑job briefs and lead setting‑to‑work processes.
* Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) before work begins.
* Carry out regular spot checks and audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
* Liaise with operations managers and supervisors to support efficient delivery.
* Monitor subcontractor performance, escalating any Health & Safety concerns promptly.

* Demonstrable experience in managing and delivering diverse projects.
* Strong track record of managing subcontractors and enforcing H&S standards.
* Sound knowledge of Health & Safety compliance and management systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Effective problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
* Background in technical or facilities management disciplines.
