Responsibilities
* Meeting the requirements of an Assistant Engineer grade and have a proven track record of working on projects for your discipline as part of the overall project team.
* Able to work using their own initiative with supervision on all technical aspects of their discipline.
* Able to work under the clear direction of the discipline lead or the client and interpret the needs of the project as a whole to meet the full delivery needs.
* Consider the feasibility of the project specific to the discipline.
* Proficient in completing detailed design and performance specification for the discipline subject to review by colleagues prior to issue and providing design and technical advice with a multidisciplinary approach on a wide range of projects.
* Review and input where required to the detailed design programme and ensure that sufficient resource is available to complete the works.
Key Technical Requirements
* Experience as an electrical engineer in building services.
* Understanding of UK and European regulations applicable to the discipline.
* Working understanding of latest electrical design software packages to allow the allocation / direction of work on projects.
* Working with Revit MEP or other 3D design software.
* Ability to sketch and communicate technical detail graphically and effectively.
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
* Must be able to obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC).

* Lighting calculations (via software and by hand)

* Intruder detection
* Access control & security systems
* Disabled call systems
* Data cabling and outletsLightning protection
Qualifications
* BEng/Bsc/MEng in applicable engineering discipline.
* CIBSE / IET / Engineering Council accredited honours degree or specific experience that will lead to Chartership.
* Working towards I Eng or C Eng status.
* RevitMEP training applied to the discipline.
