HR Advisor
Location: Rochester, Kent
Contract: 6 Months – scope for extension
Working Pattern: Hybrid (4 days on-site)
Rate: £20 PAYE / £26.76 Umbrella
Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy and fast‑paced team based in Rochester on an initial 6‑month contract. This is a great opportunity for a confident HR professional who can provide practical support across a wide range of employee relations and generalist HR activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day HR advisory support to managers and employees
* Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance issues
* Support investigations, hearings and documentation
* Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with best practice
* Coach and guide line managers on HR matters
* Assist with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain accurate HR records and support reporting requirements
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in an HR Advisor role or similar
* Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
* Confident managing a range of employee relations cases
* Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* CIPD qualification or working towards a qualification – desirable
