Educato is working on behalf of a primary school in the Drolsyden area, which is looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 2 pupil with Autism. The school requires the successful candidate to work for the full academic year. This is a 12-month maternity cover post, with the start date in September 2025, on a full-time basis.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality support to a Year 2 student in a primary school in Drolsyden. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting pupils with SEN
2. Assisting with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
3. Working on a 1:1 basis
4. Contributing to observations, assessments, and progress tracking
5. Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to provide holistic support
Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience
* Graduates in Psychology and Sociology are encouraged to apply
* Sports graduates are also welcome
* A genuine passion for SEN and understanding of diverse learning needs
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is a bonus
