CNC Miller – Location: Portsmouth • Pay: £35,000 - £42,000 p.a • Hours: Monday - Friday, full-time

About the Role
As a CNC Miller, you\'ll be programming, setting, and operating Heidenhain-controlled milling machines, with Hypermill used offline for more advanced jobs. You\'ll be working on high-precision components across sectors including motorsport and advanced engineering — the type of work where standards matter and attention to detail pays off.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and optimise milling programs (Heidenhain & Hypermill)
* Select tooling, cutting data, and machining strategies
* Set and operate 3-axis, 4-axis & 5-axis machines
* Read and interpret complex engineering drawings
* Perform first-off and in-process inspections
* Work with engineering and production teams to improve processes
What We\'re Looking For
* Proven experience as a programmer
* Confident with Heidenhain controls (essential)
* Hypermill experience preferred: other CAD/Cam software also considered
* Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds & speeds
* Good understanding of GD&T
* Quality-focused mindset and problem-solving ability
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
