Location: Chaldon, Surrey (with occasional work at a nearby satellite site)
Salary: £24,139.67 £25,819.26 (actual) + £1,000 Welcome Bonus
Hourly Rate: £13.51 £14.45 (depending on experience & qualifications)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Term Time Only
Start: As soon as possible
A brand?new SEND secondary school is opening in Chaldon, Surrey, supporting young people aged 1116 with social communication needs, emotional regulation, and sensory processing differences, typically associated with Autism. The school offers a personalised, engaging curriculum, small class sizes, high levels of classroom support, and a dedicated multi?disciplinary intervention team giving every student the opportunity to thrive.

About the Role
We are looking for passionate, committed SEN Teaching Assistants who want to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people. Youll support students with their learning, wellbeing, and personal development, helping them reach their full potential in a safe, nurturing environment.
Your role will include:
* Supporting pupils with learning activities and reinforcing concepts taught by the teacher
* Promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
* Adapting your approach to meet individual needs, including behaviour support
* Providing feedback on pupil progress, behaviour, and engagement
* Preparing and organising resources for lessons
* Supporting a broad, balanced curriculum tailored to each learner
* Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school culture
* Being flexible and willing to help wherever needed

What Were Looking For
* GCSE English & Maths (Grade 4/C or above) essential
* Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or willingness to work towards it)
* Experience working in a SEND setting
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Confidence supporting behaviour, including behaviours that challenge
* Experience in an inclusive or multi?cultural environment
* A positive, resilient, and child?centred approach
