Our company is split into two business areas:
Utility Infrastructure - Our team of Utility Infrastructure specialists design, build and maintain critical water, energy (gas), power and telecoms infrastructure for the UK’s largest network owners and operators.
Social Infrastructure - Our team of Social Infrastructure specialists revitalise homes and communities by carrying out a wide range of work from retrofit to refurbishment and maintenance.
Tasks
Advice and Guidance
* Act as the first point of contact for HR queries on terms and conditions, policies, procedures and pay.
* Support managers through ER cases including investigations, performance, conduct, disciplinaries and grievances.
* Manage employee absences including occupational health, unauthorised absences, sickness (short / long term) and Bradford Factor monitoring.
* Deliver and occasionally design HR training sessions.
* Support or lead organisational change activities (TUPE, restructures, redundancies) with the HR Business Partner.
HR Projects
* Support the HR Business Partner in delivering the People Strategy.
* Lead or assist on HR projects as required.
Payroll
* Prepare log and verify payroll changes (new starters, leavers, benefits, variations) for monthly processing.
* Provide accurate sickness and absence data for payroll.
HR Database and Reporting
* Maintain the HR ER database and update HR systems.
* Produce and review regular and ad hoc HR reports such as Bradford Factor, maternity, NMW.
* Ensure compliance through regular report monitoring and action.
Leaver Administration
* Conduct exit interviews to support retention efforts.
Other Administrative Duties
* Support general HR admin tasks and maintain process notes.
* Uphold data protection and confidentiality at all times.
* Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
* HR related qualification or Level 5 or above.
* Experienced in TUPE processes.
