The role

We are working exclusively with a global publishing company who are looking to recruit a Facilities Manager to join their in-house Facilities Management team.


The role will be responsible for managing their HQ in Central London, ensuring that the building is fully compliant, managed to a high standard, cost effective, efficient and provides an environment which enables staff to perform at their best.


Reporting into the Senior Facilities Manager, responsibilities include:

  • Manage a team of post room staff and ensure all post and courier services are reviewed on cost and service levels.
  • Manage the reception team ensuring a warm and welcome guest experience is provided at all times.
  • Ensure post and reception services are operating effectively, manage team rotas, holiday, sickness and absence.
  • Manage the Facilities Co-ordinator and provide holiday cover.
  • Oversee the management of the Facilities Mailbox, ensuring effective and efficient responses to requests.
  • Ensure HQ meets all current H&S obligations and legislation (including risk assessments, permits, procedures and training).
  • Manage all events (including venue space to ensure successful and safe events).
  • Act as Incident Control Manager for the building (supported by the Incident Management Team).
  • Oversee outsourced facilities service providers and ensure they are meeting SLAs and budgets.
  • Undertake move and change projects as required.
  • Undertake regular building inspections to identify and overcome issues.
  • Maintain records of compliance, using Vantify.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier costs and provide cost saving proposals.
  • Manage energy platforms to ensure energy optimisation across HQ.


Key Facilities Manager requirements:

  • Experience working as a Building or Facilities Manager within an office building or business HQ.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good working knowledge of facilities-related legislation and practical application.
  • Prepared to work out-of-hours when required for events.
  • Excellent move and change project experience.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Financially and commercially aware.
  • Experience working with HVAC systems.
  • Project Management and CHURN experience.
  • It’s a requirement to have either IWFM, IOSH (or equivalent) qualifications for this position


Salary £45,000 - £50,000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package, full time based in their Central London office.
