Overview
Risk Graduate Scheme - Information Security and Business Continuity at NFU Mutual (targetjobs UK).
About The Scheme
The Risk Division at NFU Mutual is undergoing an exciting transformation. Operational risk is evolving into two distinct disciplines – enterprise risk and operational risk – creating broader opportunities to explore specialisms. You could be involved in information security, business continuity, or strategic risk management within a forward-thinking risk function.
Join our Risk graduate scheme to contribute to managing risk across NFU Mutual. Our teams support business objectives by understanding regulatory rules to enable informed, risk-based decisions. In this role you’ll help safeguard NFU Mutual against a wide range of risks including strategic, financial, and operational threats.
What you can expect
Expect a hands-on experience that immerses you in NFU Mutual’s operations. Rotations will involve tackling real business challenges, such as reviewing security controls, developing robust plans for operational resilience, and ensuring data protection measures are up to date. You’ll collaborate with IT experts and senior leaders, gaining exposure across the business. You’ll need critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong communication skills to create and test business continuity plans for events from cyber-attacks to market disruptions.
You’ll have opportunities to engage in projects, especially in response to regulatory changes. You may complete professional qualifications such as the ISC2 Cyber Security Qualification, the CBCI (Certificate in Business Continuity), and the CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe).
You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment with exposure to various business areas and mentors at all levels, helping to influence the business and develop your skills while protecting the organization.
Your future
Throughout the scheme you’ll strengthen core skills, earn recognised qualifications, and develop essential competencies. You’ll be supported by a buddy, a mentor, and a careers coach to guide your next steps. We encourage involvement in extracurricular activities within our ESG framework.
Application process
If shortlisted, you’ll complete an online assessment, followed by a short video interview. The final stage is an in-person assessment centre with a group exercise, a role-specific exercise, and a skills-based interview. The assessment centre is scheduled for Tuesday 25 November. The vacancy may close early once sufficient applications are received, so early submission is encouraged.
