Trade Finance Analyst
At NEXT, one of the UK’s largest fashion retailers and listed companies, we offer an exciting opportunity for a Trade Finance Analyst to join our Trade Finance Team within the Commercial Finance function. Our company generates over £5bn in annual sales, and the Trade team is responsible for all sales reporting and analysis related to these sales.
Based at our Head Office in Leicester, the role involves working closely with the Trade Finance Manager to report on sales across various revenue streams and analyze sales performance industry-wide. Responsibilities include daily or weekly reporting, external communications, and ad hoc insights.
You will act as a business partner to the Commercial Finance teams, helping to identify data needs and developing reliable information to support those needs. You will serve as a link between Finance and the Trade Team, deputize for the Trade Finance Manager, attend senior management meetings, and support with deadlines and special analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract, manipulate, and analyze data using software tools. Develop reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and uncover insights. Interpret data to provide actionable recommendations.
2. Stakeholder Communication: Update stakeholders on project progress, findings, and recommendations at all levels, including executives and external partners.
What We Are Looking For:
* An experienced, driven analyst with strong analytical and reporting skills. Fully qualified candidates are preferred but not essential depending on experience.
* Experience working within a Finance team.
* Proven reporting skills; experience with modeling or profitability analysis is a plus.
* Stakeholder management skills with influencing and negotiation abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Advanced Excel and reporting skills, with the ability to analyze large data sets efficiently.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong prioritization skills to meet high standards.
* A flexible, can-do attitude capable of adapting to changing business needs.
