Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring accurate and efficient picking, packing, and dispatch, and maintaining a safe, organised working environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of leading a small team to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise daily warehouse operations including picking, packing, dispatch, and stock control.
* Organise, allocate, and monitor workloads to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment in line with health & safety regulations.
* Implement and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
* Oversee courier/haulage collections and liaise with suppliers and logistics partners.
* Train, support, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve targets and maintain high performance.
* Produce daily/weekly reports on warehouse performance, dispatch volumes, and stock accuracy.
* Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment, escalating issues where needed.
* Support management in planning for seasonal peaks and growth in operations.
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment (small to medium business preferred).
* Strong understanding of picking, packing, dispatch, and stock management processes.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills.
* High attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving ability.
* Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and compliance requirements.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, with Excel essential.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
* Forklift license (desirable, not essential).

Package
* Salary: £30,000 per annum
* Full-time, permanent role.
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm, with overtime required during busy periods.
* Holiday entitlement: 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with additional Christmas shutdown.
