Assistant Janitors cover all janitorial duties along with cleaning as required.
We currently have a permanent vacancy on a 40-week contract to join our teams within Schools in the Glenrothes area.
Glenwood High School
1. Assistant Janitor- 15 hours per week. Working between 15:00pm to 18:00pm on a permanent 40-week contract Monday to Friday.
You will earn a competitive salary of £24,740.74 to £25,885.80 per year with enhancements for any weekends and shift work and have access to a range of benefits, including:
2. £13.18 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
3. Pay is 4 weekly and annualised for 40-week contracts.

9. Ensuring that educational establishments and grounds are opened at prescribed times, and that they are secure at the end of the working day.
10. Co-operating with all appropriate personnel and agencies in maintaining the security of the premises.
11. A willingness to complete additional training as required.
12. Responding to emergency callouts in accordance with established procedures, including attending at the location, contacting appropriate authorities, inspecting for damage and theft, effecting repair and where necessary, liaising with contractors / emergency services on site.
13. Carrying out prescribed procedures in the event of fire, flooding, accident, or damage including liaising with appropriate staff, contractors etc.
The Person
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
Driver’s licence is desirable.
Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team.
You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
