Job Description:
* Delivery of veterinary care
o Deliver routine and non-routine veterinary care for one or more animal unit at Waltham, covering up to 150 cats or 70 dogs.
o Triaging veterinary and animal health related queries to report to the Named Veterinary Surgeon and coordinating veterinary rounds accordingly.
o Routine delivery of veterinary related tasks on the animal units, including, but not limited to:
+ Weighing of animals and adjusting dietary requirements.
+ Delivering treatments, including vaccinations and worming.
+ Collection of health data from our dogs and cats, such as quality of life assessments or oral health.
+ Health checking of animals.
* Drive continuous improvement in veterinary care at WALTHAM.
o Identify and act upon continuous improvement initiatives in the area of Veterinary Services and Operations.
* Provide veterinary advice to other Waltham teams.
* Perform the role of Named Animal Care and Welfare Officer (NACWO).
* Delivering veterinary treatments and responding to veterinary queries during weekends (daytime).
