Job Description
Prospero Teaching is seeking a confident and ambitious Psychology Graduate to support secondary-aged students (11-16) in High Peak. The role involves supporting students who are struggling academically or behaviorally, particularly those with SEMH needs, PTSD, or ADHD. The position is a temporary, full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant role from February to July 2025, with a daily rate of £100.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting children with SEN, especially SEMH needs
* Creating an environment conducive to learning and personal development
* Building rapport with students and supporting their social and behavioral needs as a mentor
Role requirements:
* Psychology (BA Hons) degree
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or obtainable through Prospero Teaching
* Safeguarding, prevent awareness, and FGM training
* Desirable: Behaviour management training
* Enthusiastic attitude and passion for education
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
* Previous experience working with young people and knowledge of SEMH/behavioral difficulties
