First Achieves Engineering Division is seeking a Valve Technician for their client, a leading organization in the Oil and Gas industry supplying valves and actuators worldwide.
Position Details:
* Permanent role from Day 1
* Day shift, Monday to Friday
* Salary circa £18 per hour
* Up to 8% pension contributions
Responsibilities:
* Strip, inspect, assess, report, and rebuild all types of valves and operators.
* Fault finding to identify root causes of valve failures.
* Pressure testing according to specifications and international standards.
* Participate in ongoing training and development.
* Conduct PSV recertification campaigns.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and management to ensure safety and quality compliance.
* Complete documentation and QA cards related to repairs and testing.
* Ensure adherence to documented procedures and customer specifications.
* Travel to customer sites for field service work when required.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 6 years experience, preferably with a time-served background.
* NC/HNC qualification in a relevant field.
* Knowledge of various valve types.
