EHS Advisor (Governance and Audits) – site based
£35,,000PA
The Governance Advisor is responsible for maintaining robust health, safety, and environmental governance across the Hinkley Point C project.
Responsibilities to include
Coordinate and oversee EHS audit and inspection schedules across mechanical and electrical scopes, ensuring compliance with client, regulatory, and internal requirements.
Support internal and external audits through document preparation, data collation, and evidence management.
Facilitate management system reviews and governance meetings by providing accurate performance data and insights.
Data Management and Reporting
Lead ownership of the Project Reporting Tool, ensuring accessibility, accuracy, and timely action close-out across all stakeholders.
Analyse EHS data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Produce and present dashboards and performance reports for leadership review, translating data into actionable insights.
Maintain consistency of data across systems and contribute to the wider EHS performance dashboard.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary point of contact for EHS governance-related queries, supporting both internal and client interfaces.
Skills and qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in an EHS or compliance-related role within a large-scale construction or high-risk industrial environment.
Demonstrable experience in managing audits, inspections, and compliance tracking.
Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
Good understanding of UK Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
Strong analytical and IT skills, with proven experience using Power BI or similar visualisation tools.
Ability to work on site full time
