Project

Sizewell C (SZC) is at the heart of the UK's clean energy revolution. This ground‑breaking nuclear power plant project in Suffolk will play a vital role in delivering a sustainable future. Backed by EDF and the UK Government, Sizewell C is a once‑in‑a‑generation project with significant opportunities to innovate, grow, and deliver excellence.


Position

We are seeking an experienced Lead Auditor to ensure the quality and compliance of VSL's delivery scope at Sizewell C. You will lead audits across our teams and supply chain, support client audit activity, and reinforce compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 19443. Your work will be central to governance, risk management, and continuous improvement on one of the UK's most complex infrastructure projects.


Main Responsibilities

* Plan, coordinate, and execute audits across VSL's delivery scope (soil mixing, embankments, plastic cut-off walls, load transfer platforms).
* Support client audits, providing evidence of compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
* Manage audit findings, corrective actions, and ensure timely close-out.
* Advise engineering, construction, and supply chain teams on QA/QC standards.
* Identify systemic issues and recommend improvements through structured audit processes.
* Support surveillance and configuration management, including Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs).
* Promote a strong quality culture across delivery teams and stakeholders.


Education & Experience

* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred.
* Proven experience as a Lead Auditor on large-scale infrastructure, nuclear, or other highly regulated projects.


Technical Skills

* Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (essential); knowledge of ISO 19443 advantageous.
* Strong understanding of audit principles, QA/QC systems, and regulatory frameworks.
* Experience in ground engineering, geotechnical works, or infrastructure projects highly desirable.
