Senior Delivery Manager (Contract) - Energy Consultancy
We are seeking an experienced Senior Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of large, complex programmes within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment. This role is accountable for ensuring that critical initiatives are planned, governed, and delivered effectively, balancing transformation with operational resilience and compliance.
Delivery Leadership
* Own the delivery of large-scale, complex, and often multi-year programmes or portfolios
* Ensure delivery to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards
* Lead delivery across multiple teams, suppliers, and delivery partners
* Balance pace of delivery with operational, technical, and system risk
Planning & Execution
* Develop and maintain delivery plans, roadmaps, and milestones
* Identify and manage dependencies across technology, operations, data, and policy
* Oversee forecasting, capacity planning, and delivery sequencing
* Provide clear, transparent reporting on progress, risks, and delivery trade-offs
Governance & Risk Management
* Operate within a regulated environment, ensuring appropriate delivery controls are in place
* Proactively manage risks, issues, and escalations
* Support senior decision-making through clear, evidence-based reporting
* Collaborate closely with assurance, architecture, and regulatory stakeholders
Stakeholder & Partner Management
* Act as a key interface between:
* Technology and delivery teams
* Business and operational leaders
* External vendors and delivery partners
* Senior executives and governance forums
* Align diverse stakeholder priorities into a single, coherent delivery approach
