Season your career as a Payroll Administrator We’re recruiting an experienced Payroll Administrator who is friendly, adaptable, and confident in managing a range of payroll and administrative duties for Chartwells. This is a part-time, term-time only role, contracted to 24 hours per week across 4 days. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring our payroll processes run smoothly and accurately, and you’ll be supported to grow within a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and recognises those who go beyond the plate. To help you settle into the role, full training will be provided, and during your probation period you will be supported by a buddy manager who will guide you through your onboarding and day-to-day responsibilities. Working Pattern 24 hours per week | 4 days | 6 hours per day (Exact days to be agreed, Monday–Friday) Contracted weeks: 39.6 per year (term time only) What you’ll be doing Your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to : Processing payroll information accurately and in a timely manner Handling payroll queries and communicating updates professionally Maintaining and updating employee records Assisting with reporting, compliance, and audit requirements Providing financial and HR administrative support as required Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties Managing email enquiries through a central inbox Attending meetings, taking minutes, and following up on actions Ordering stationery and ensuring a tidy, well-organised office environment Who we’re looking for Our ideal Payroll Administrator will: Be passionate about delivering exceptional service Have previous payroll administration experience (desirable) Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills Show strong time-management and reliability Have high attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy Be honest, proactive, and motivated to continually develop Feel confident working independently and as part of a team As part of Compass youll help to feed people, fuel progress and forge connections in around 6,000 venues.
