In this exciting role, you’ll be at the forefront of designing innovative improvement schemes that enhance road safety and promote sustainable transport options for North and West Northamptonshire Councils.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility available. Just let us know your preferences when we chat!

Your Responsibilities
As an Assistant Traffic Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in our Traffic Engineering team. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
* Assist in planning and implementing traffic engineering schemes within budget and specifications.
* Develop and produce detailed AutoCAD drawings.
* Prepare Bills of Quantities and essential project documentation.
* Collaborate with designers to create effective technical solutions.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Civil Engineering, with some experience in traffic engineering or highway design.
* Understand basic traffic and highway design principles.
* Have experience using AutoCAD and other relevant software like Keysign and Keyline.
* Are aware of Health & Safety requirements, including CDM 2015.
