Powered Access Engineer
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Salary: £32,000-£40,000, Overtime @1.5x and 2x on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (flexible between 07:00–18:00)

Due to their successful growth, they are currently seeking a Powered Access Field Service Engineer to join their current team. The business supplies a wide range of equipment across the UK and prides itself on a close‑knit working environment where employees are valued and supported.
The package:
24 days annual leave + public holidays (32 days overall)
Door to Door Paid
Full training and Development surrounding electrical & mechanical repairs, fault finding and diagnostics

Key Responsibilities
Attend breakdowns and urgent callouts, delivering efficient fault resolution
Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults on powered access equipment
Perform routine servicing, LOLER inspections and preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer guidelines
Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding required work, timelines and machine condition
Identify and source parts required to complete repairs
Complete service reports, job sheets and digital documentation accurately
Maintain safe, clean and organised working practices
Use diagnostic tools, schematics and service manuals to troubleshoot faults
Represent the company professionally on customer sites
Build strong customer relationships through technical expertise and reliability
Provide technical advice to customers and colleagues when required
Candidate Requirements
Essential
NVQ in Engineering (or equivalent)
Previous experience as a powered access engineer
Strong fault-finding capabilities (mechanical and electrical)
Clear and professional communication skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Flexible and supportive team approach
Thorough Examination Certificate
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
Experience using PDA and Protean software
IPAF Licence and/or CAP Licence
