About The Role
allpay Limited is one of the fastest growing Fintech companies in the UK, specializing in payment and financial services.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Software Engineer to join our Research and Development team.
Within This Role You Will
1. Assist in requirements gathering to ensure requirements are detailed enough to support design, development, and implementation.
2. Participate in an Agile development team to create software designs and specifications based on system requirements and development procedures.
3. Engage in sprint and release planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
4. Design software that meets business and user requirements, with a focus on extensibility, maintainability, supportability, and configurability.
5. Provide support, consultancy, and assistance to colleagues and other departments as needed.
6. Maintain and enhance skills by studying the latest development tools, techniques, and equipment; participating in educational opportunities; and reading professional publications.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. Experience with object-oriented programming languages, especially C# and .NET.
2. Experience with SQL Server or equivalent, via management interface or software application.
3. The ability to solve problems and develop workable solutions or workarounds. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
4. Experience with Microsoft Azure platform and services is desirable. Web frontend development experience is beneficial.
5. Good knowledge of software and hardware environments, including networking.
Additional Details
This role is hybrid, based at our offices near Hereford, and is accessible from Birmingham, Gloucester, Cheltenham, or Worcester.
