About the role:
We are working in partnership with a welcoming school in the Walsall area who are seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who can support teaching and learning across the school and build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will work closely with teaching staff to support learning across the classroom. You may be required to deliver pre-planned lessons, cover classes when required and provide targeted support to individuals and small groups.
What you'll be doing:
* Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher when required
* Support teaching and learning across the classroom
* Work with small groups or individual pupils to support progress
* Assist with planning and assessment alongside teaching staff
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
* Build positive relationships with pupils staff and parents
* Support pupils with additional learning needs where appropriate
* Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times
What were looking for:
* HLTA qualification or relevant experience working at HLTA level
* Experience working in a school setting
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Flexible proactive and reliable approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
