Key Responsibilities Own end‑to‑end workshop output - acting as the final quality sign off and ensuring nothing leaves below the required standard Define, embed, and uphold clear quality standards - set the benchmark for workmanship, detail, and “what good looks like” Plan and manage production workflow across fabrication and assembly to maintain a smooth operation and on‑time delivery Identify and remove bottlenecks, driving improvements to efficiency and right‑first‑time quality Lead from the front on the shop floor, maintaining strong presence, authority, and technical credibility Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing production team, with clear expectations, accountability, and ongoing skills development Own key supplier and finishing relationships, improving consistency, preparation, and outcomes while reducing rework Contribute to wider management and future growth, supporting capacity planning, workshop development, and continuous improvement Essential Experience Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a senior workshop leadership role Experience in bespoke or high‑end manufacturing environments e.g. lighting, architectural metalwork, electrical products Strong track record delivering high‑quality bespoke products Experience leading and developing skilled shop‑floor teams Hands‑on background in metal fabrication (brass experience advantageous) Strong understanding of surface preparation and finishing processes Confident decision‑maker with a strong sense of ownership Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
