Seasonal Ranger 6 Month Contract 37 hours per week to include weekends (1 in 4 weekends off) Candidates must have Full UK Driving Licence Role Objective: Assisting and supporting Rangers' general duties relating to site safety, grounds and building maintenance, housekeeping, and being the face and voice of Severn Trent on its visitor sites. Key Accountabilities: - Carrying out safety checks, housekeeping, and day to day grounds and building maintenance. - e.g. litter picking, bin emptying, traffic management, vegatation clearance, cleaning. - Advising visitors on site rules and safety. - Dealing with visitor enquiries and issues. - Assisting and covering for rangers as required. Experience: In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have: Essential: - Experience of handling health and safety in a countryside environment - Experience of working with general public - Experience of grounds and building maintenance practices, techniques, tools and equipment Desirable: - Experience of working in a wildlife / conservation / countryside environment Capabilities: In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have: Essential: - Flexible approach to the location, timing and nature of the work - Willingness to work on all aspects of the job and in all weather - Ability to work unsupervised / on own initiative - Ability to assist with diverse queries from members of the public - Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with difficult situations - Ability to respresent ST positively and professionally at all times Desirable: - Knowledge of wildlife and countryside practices, techniques and issues.
