Base pay range

Salary information: The salary for this position is £50K - £55K.


Responsibilities

* Be part of the IT Leadership Team in Europe focused on education and learning through the delivery of quality IT services and associated support to schools, departments, and related businesses.
* Manage the IT services and technicians in two of London’s schools; build strong relationships with school leaders, communicate clearly and pro-actively, and lead a team of school-based IT technicians.
* Control and governance of school / business IT services ensuring that all infrastructure, hardware, software and cloud services are deployed, managed, maintained, supported and changed effectively.
* Facilitate stakeholder management with business leaders and leadership teams through regular engagement and reporting regarding performance, requirements and continuous improvement.
* Manage on-site 2nd line IT support provided by IT Technicians using the Group ITSM tool and ITIL-aligned policies, processes, procedures, and standards.
* Lead a group of school-based IT technicians and be the primary IT contact for the leadership teams in assigned schools and business units.
* Attend and represent IT at School, POD, and Regional meetings (including School Governance in Autumn and Summer Term).
* Identify, document, and define critical services / processes and associated KPIs; create periodic dashboards, scorecards and reports to demonstrate IT performance against SLA / KPI.
* Maintain the IT service catalogue and site documentation (technical, financial, and legal) up to date for allocated schools / business units.
* Plan and manage changes to IT services, ensure proper approvals, deployment, and support agreements; manage incidents and customer complaints through to resolution.
* Lead periodic audits of IT hardware, software, services, and user accounts to ensure data accuracy in ITSM/CMDB.
* Build, manage and develop a team of highly skilled School IT Technicians; collaborate with the EdTech team to align technology and support in schools.
* Ensure support incidents and requests are correctly prioritized for efficient 2nd / 3rd line resolution within SLAs; provide escalation support as needed.
* Own and manage all Significant and Major Incidents in assigned schools / business units; communicate, review incidents, and follow up actions.
* Conduct periodic appraisals of team members, set objectives, identify development areas and facilitate training.
* Implement and monitor ITIL processes focusing on Stakeholder, Incident, Change, Problem and Asset Management; support and/or manage projects as directed by European IT leadership.
* Demonstrate IT Management & Leadership, IT Support (2nd & 3rd line), ITSM methodologies, ITIL practices, and team management (including matrix management).
* Support diverse / remote businesses.


Qualifications

* Education or similar sector experience; Windows Desktop & Server; MAC Desktop & Server; Server Rooms & Cloud Services; Device Management (e.g. InTune / JAMF); Network technologies and protocols; Cyber Security.
* Business Systems knowledge (e.g. Finance, MIS, CRM) with exceptional customer service and communication skills, including written and verbal;
* Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to tailor communication to non-IT colleagues; strong leadership and teamwork; self-motivation and time management; ability to work unsupervised.
* Must be able to use initiative and work under pressure with a customer-centric approach.
* On-site in Central London for 4 days a week with one remote day.
