About the role Lead the execution of a vibrant summer programme, ensuring safe, well-coordinated excursions and memorable activities Leading a team of Activity Coordinators, the Activity & Excursion Manager plans the planning and delivery of an engaging enrichment and activity programme, ensuring all excursions and events are safe, well-organised, and enhance the overall student experience. Dates Course dates between late June and the end of August 2026 Pay details £918.97 per week (£820 weekly pay accrued holiday pay, paid in the final payroll) Additional benefits Accommodation and selected meals included Paid training Enhanced DBS provided (if required) Working pattern Saturday to Saturday, up to 60 hours per week on a shift pattern with overnight duties 1 day off per week Reports to Deputy Centre Director Main duties Excursions and enrichment: Lead the strategic planning and delivery of all day trips and enrichment activities, ensuring they enhance the overall student experience. Programme management: Manage the on-site activity schedule, including evening events and recreational activities for a smooth, engaging programme. Team leadership: Lead a team of Activity Coordinators, providing clear briefings, guidance, and oversight to ensure all plans and responsibilities are executed effectively. Collaboration: Work with centre management to align activities with course objectives and provide a cohesive student experience. Risk and safety oversight: Ensure all excursions have comprehensive risk assessments and safety protocols in place, and maintain the highest standards of care. Quality assurance: Monitor and evaluate activities to enhance learning and enjoyment, ensuring outcomes are achieved within budget. Pastoral care: Promote student wellbeing through positive supervision, communication, and teamwork with the pastoral staff. Residential duties: Perform residential duties including morning registrations, meal time supervision, curfew checks and overnight phone duty. About you You’re a creative and organised leader who excels at planning enriching, safe, and enjoyable student experiences. Skilled in managing teams, logistics, and activities, you are a great communicator and enjoy contributing to a positive, well-run environment. Essential Experience of organising educational trips or activities in academic or residential settings, with strong team management skills to ensure smooth operations. Clear evidence of detailed logistical planning and scheduling, with a focus on creating engaging and exciting activities that enhance the experience for children. Proven ability to lead teams effectively, ensuring activities and trips run smoothly and safely while fostering a positive environment. Excellent organisational and planning skills to manage multiple activities and trips simultaneously, complemented by strong communication and leadership abilities. Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor work visas for this role). Desirable Knowledge of educational enrichment activities and methods to make trips more engaging for students, as well as safety and risk management practices in trip planning. Experience working in international or multicultural environments, with an understanding of diverse student backgrounds, and within summer school programs or other short-term residential education settings.
