Electronics Manufacturing Engineer - Space
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Chelmsford, UK. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing high-precision silicon assembly and providing support to manufacture.
The ideal candidate will have experience of production/manufacturing, developing manufacturing processes, and working in a project manufacturing environment. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, with documented results.
Key Responsibilities
* Development of new and existing probe capabilities for the testing of CCD/CMOS wafers
* Collaboration with production engineers to optimize design for manufacture (DFM)
* Assistance with the development and writing of procedures for prototyping new products
* Continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes and work instructions, working with the wider production/manufacturing team
* Generation of SAP ME routings from manufacturing flow diagrams
* Creation of SAP BOMs and master data, working with design, engineering, and procurement teams
* Ensuring all documentation is confirmed through configuration control boards (CCBs)
* Management and optimization of operations flow (information and production flow)
* Support with production trials and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed
* Adherence to existing NPI processes
Requirements
* Experience of production/manufacturing
* Experience of developing manufacturing processes
* Experience of working in a project manufacturing environment
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with documented results
* HNC in Engineering or Physics or equivalent experience
