Our New Acorn School, Avonside School in Bristol, will have capacity for 72 pupils and is due to open August 2025. The school will be a co-educational provision for pupils with complex needs including SEMH.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher/tutor to:
o Ensure the delivery of high-quality education for all students
o Implement all relevant education policies and procedures
o Organise the classroom, resources, student groupings, and displays to provide a stimulating learning environment for students with autistic spectrum disorder
o Write, update, implement, and evaluate documentation related to individual students
* Provide relevant and appropriate support to students
* Promote the physical, educational, and moral development of students
* Ensure equipment and resources are used, stored, and maintained efficiently
* Collaborate with the class teacher/tutor to plan and ensure student safety, in line with risk assessments, both on and off-site
* Create effective teaching aids and resources as requested by the class teacher/tutor
* Contribute to the school’s multi-professional team, fostering good working relationships with colleagues
