We are looking for a motivated Quality Inspector to join our clients growing quality team. This position plays a vital part in ensuring our products meet internal standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations. You will be involved in inspection activities, documentation control, internal auditing, and calibration processes, working closely with colleagues across production and logistics.
Full training will be provided, including development on advanced metrology equipment, CMM operation/programming, and quality system procedures.
Experience Requirements
* Ideally 1+ years in a quality or inspection role, preferably within the aerospace or precision engineering sector.
Working Hours
* Monday–Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
* Friday: 7:30am – 1:00pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Inspection & Measurement
* Carry out dimensional and visual inspection of components using a variety of precision tools (e.g., CMM, optical measurement systems, shadow graph, micrometers, bore gauges).
* Learn to operate, amend, and eventually generate programs for CMMs and optical inspection systems.
* Support the creation and upkeep of Inspection Control Plans (ICPs) to maintain consistency in inspection processes.
Quality Documentation
* Produce First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and support PPAP documentation requirements.
* Maintain accurate and traceable quality records, including ICPs, inspection reports, and audit findings.
Calibration & Equipment Control
* Perform routine internal calibration activities and ensure measurement equipment is managed and recorded in line with internal schedules.
Auditing & Compliance
* Participate in internal audits to support compliance with AS9100 and internal procedures.
* Contribute to shop floor audit activities, review associated paperwork, and ensure documentation is up to date.
Cross-Functional Support
* Work closely with production, engineering, and logistics to resolve quality-related questions and assist with process improvements.
* Undertake additional tasks as needed to support the Quality Manager and the wider team.
Skills & Personal Attributes
* A high level of accuracy and a structured, methodical way of working.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
* Confident using Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and keen to build new technical capabilities.
