Our Water company client are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join their Snodland based team on a permanent basis.
You will play a key role in supporting and delivering capital projects, ensuring technical excellence, and guiding junior team members as they develop. This role combines office-based collaboration (minimum three days per week) with site visits to support project delivery and contractor oversight.
Responsibilities
Review and verify project scopes to ensure they align with required outcomes.
Provide technical solutions and support across capital projects, producing key documentation such as design drawings, CDM documentation, and job specification packs.
Undertake technical checks on work completed by others to ensure high-quality output.
Mentor Graduate Civil Engineers and apprentices, supporting their professional development.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to secure project approvals.
Conduct site audits, offering guidance and assurance to contractors.Skills / Qualifications / Experience
HNC, HND, or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Previous experience in a similar Civil Engineer role with the ability to manage your own deliverables.
Strong understanding of industry standards and specifications.
Solid knowledge of CDM 2015 and its practical application on projects.
Experience in the design, construction, or maintenance of infrastructure and/or non‑infrastructure assets.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.Benefits
