Job Title: Atelier Assistant
Location: Woburn Walk, Bloomsbury, London WC1H
Reports to: Atelier Manager
Working Hours: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 9:30am to 6pm, 45 minute lunch
Contract: Full Time
Job Purpose
You will be a key member of the Atelier team, delivering products within the monthly and seasonal calendars, and working alongside the Atelier Manager to ensure a smooth running schedule and organised space.

Key duties & responsibilities:
ATELIER
Sampling, hand sewing and finishingMaking accessories for both collection development and in house production ordersCutting toiles and finished garments in final fabricsPersonalising products using our digital embroidery machineBasic pattern cutting development where necessary Assisting our seamstresses where necessary to complete basic bridal alterationsAssisting the Atelier Manager to oversee placement students in their daily tasksTake pride in ensuring products are made to a professional industry standard within a bridal atelierHelping the Atelier Manager to keep the organisation of the atelier up to standard including patterns, fabrics, samples, tools etc.Assist the Atelier Manager in tracking all samples that go through the workroomHelp to QC all samples and work completed within the Atelier to ensure high standards of quality, finish and fit are consistently maintained.Support in the day-to-day tracking of studio tasks, and raw material stock levels.Be proactive, detail oriented and take initiative in all given tasks. Occasional general studio errands.
FITTINGS
Planning the Atelier calendar alongside the Atelier Manager to ensure the alterations schedules are realistic and achievableBe the point of contact to receive production delivery of bridal dresses ready for fittings, checking the orders to hand over to the seamstress/fittersWork closely with fitters and seamstresses to log of fit notes & information, ensuring a smooth and concise process
The Candidate:
You are a highly motivated, exceptionally organised, with excellent communication and a positive can-do attitude. You are strategic, creative, and a great problem solver who excels within a fast-paced environment.
Preferable to have had experience within a luxury clothing company or studioHave a very high level of attention to detail, with an understanding of industry standards and the procedures in sampling, development and production for a luxury product.Good technical skills in construction, fabric handling and pattern understanding, ensuring high quality standards are consistently maintained. You will be trained to constantly improve. Basic Adobe package knowledge.Ability to multitask on various running projects and flourish in a rapidly changing atmosphere.Professional and enthusiastic in your approach to any given task.Capable of taking direction and using your initiative to deliver tasks in a timely manner.Self-driven, resourceful, responsible and eager to grow and develop.Enthusiasm in collaborating with the wider team, and working to joint company goals.You will be highly organised and a logical thinker.You will operate in a professional manner, as a proud representative of Halfpenny London, and the culture of the brand.
