About the Role
As Deputy Manager of the Old Orchard, you will work in a small 5‑bed home for young adults with complex needs.
You will support the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day operation of the home, ensuring that service users' needs are met, staff are effectively managed, and quality of care and support is upheld.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Registered Manager with planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of service user care and support.
* Ensure policies, procedures, systems, and workplace practices are fully implemented and consistently applied.
* Lead and delegate appropriately during shifts, completing regular staff supervisions.
* Provide crisis support to individuals, managing behaviours when required.
* Motivate, empower and develop the care staff, acting as a positive role model and champion of best practice.
* Maintain high professional standards and compliance with external regulatory requirements.
