MOT Tester
1. Hours: 45 hours per week (Monday – Friday with Saturdays on a rota)
2. Salary: £34,000 + Bonus + Benefits (OTE £38,000)
Our client, a rapidly growing national automotive company, is seeking a qualified MOT Tester to join their professional team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic workshop environment with fantastic training and career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities of an MOT Tester:
3. Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
4. Undertake mechanical repairs, including work on brakes, clutches, cambelts, exhaust systems, and tyre fitting
5. Operate wheel alignment equipment and interpret results to perform required adjustments
6. Ensure all tasks are carried out safely, accurately, and to a high standard
7. Complete vehicle inspection documentation and comply with all internal processes
8. Identify and report any additional faults to both customers and management
9. Maintain a clean, well-organised, and compliant workshop environment
Requirements for an MOT Tester:
10. Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance Qualification or a valid MOT Tester Licence
11. Previous experience in a professional workshop setting
12. In-depth knowledge of brake systems, tyres, cambelts, clutches, and exhaust components
13. Full UK driving licence
14. Strong communication and customer service skills
15. Team-oriented with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
16. Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
