Permanent, Full Time Your Responsibilities
As an Assistant Materials Engineer, you will play a vital role in our projects. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like: Develop a comprehensive understanding of project specifications and the technical aspects of construction materials. Advise on necessary derogations and amendments to requirements and specifications. Provide technical guidance to project teams on the suitability and use of various materials, including concrete, asphalt, and aggregates. Assist in the preparation of Material Acceptance Requests and monitor feedback and technical queries. Coordinate materials specifications, ITP requirements, and supply chain management during mobilization and execution. What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have: An HND, HNC, or NVQ in a relevant subject (beneficial). A degree in Civil Engineering, Materials, or Earthworks (desirable). Industry-accredited safety training, such as CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme). Previous experience with materials. At Kier, we value potential and welcome transferable skills.
