Operations Manager – Construction
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee multiple construction sites and ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on role. You must be organised, decisive, and comfortable managing people, paperwork, and performance.
You will:
* Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple live sites
* Manage and support Site Managers and Supervisors
* Ensure all works are carried out in line with H&S requirements
* Review and manage RAMS, programmes, and site documentation
* Coordinate labour, subcontractors, and materials
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams
* Identify issues early and resolve them without drama
* Maintain quality, productivity, and cost control
* Carry out regular site visits and inspections
Requirements/Qualifications:
* Valid CSCS card
* SMSTS or SSSTS – in date
* Proven experience in a construction operations / senior site role
* Experience overseeing multiple sites simultaneously
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Confident with paperwork, planning, and reporting
* Ability to manage people and underperformance
* Full UK driving licence
