As part of the Barretts IT Department, this role focuses on delivering quality support to staff across the Group. Based in the IT Department Office, you'll handle 1st line staff issues via phone and the ticketing system, working closely with IT colleagues and receiving in-house training on motor industry systems. Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies are key, making this an ideal position for those who enjoy problem-solving and developing their IT skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide first-line technical help by answering calls and handling support tickets.
* Diagnose and solve issues on Windows 11 and iOS devices on a day to day basis.
* Assist with new hardware deployment.
* Fix and refurbish hardware in the IT workshop.
* Monitor important IT systems like antivirus, firewall and device management.
* Assist with developing the use of AI within the Group.
Candidate Profile:
* Basic knowledge of IT best practices, and how Computers and Networks work.
* Eager to learn how IT services shape an organisation and gain experience supporting users with networking, printing, email, and a range of software applications.
* A problem solving mindset. Keen to analyse issues, make informed decisions and take appropriate action.
* Able to explain technical issues simply, communicate well with all staff, and remain calm in fast-paced situations.
* Keep UpToDate with technology and IT support trends.
Placement:
* Training will be provided both internally and externally when required.
* Full-Time, Permanent.
* 8:30-5pm Mon-Friday, Sat on rota 8-12
