Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead and develop a team delivering high-quality projects within the anaerobic digester sector. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of systems engineering and product development, with proficiency in various software and other skills. This role requires strong leadership, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Duties
* Oversee and monitor the plant and feedstocks effectively to ensure maximum output of heat and power
* Achieve and maintain biological stability
* Collect and analyse data while monitoring the process to maintain quality and optimum output
* Manage and execute maintenance schedules
* Ability to operate machinery related to farming
* Conduct analysis to troubleshoot issues related to engineering and mechanical systems
* Collaborate with third party teams outside the company to design and implement innovative solutions
* Manage personnel as necessary ensuring cover is available to maximise the primary duty of power and heat
* Provide technical guidance and communicate well with team members.
* Maintain a culture of continuous improvement through effective training and development initiatives.
* Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times
Requirements
* Proven experience in an anaerobic digester or a related engineering or farming field.
* Strong understanding of engineering principles and practice
* Mathematical skills with a solid understanding of mechanical knowledge.
* Ability to perform analysis and implement effective solutions where necessary.
* Ability to undertake product development.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Proficient in the use of machinery.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
